The Cooking Classes Terms and Conditions constitute a legal and binding contract between Monika Celly, culinary instructor at Polka Dots And Curry and you (the Customer). By booking a class ( private or group lesson ), you agree to be bound by all provisions in this Agreement at the time of your acceptance.
This Agreement may be updated at any time. It is your responsibility to review the most recent version of this Agreement when purchasing classes or spice blends to remain informed of any changes.
Reservation Policy
- To book a date for any class, payment in full is required by mailing a check or pay through PayPal. For cash please contact us by email or phone.
- Starting 1st January 2020, if using PayPal, a 2.9% extra fee of the amount will apply, plus $0.30 USD (PayPal standard commission).
- We may substitute food items based on availability (season).
- For any in-home cooking classes or private cooking classes in the evening, we need advance notification at least three weeks prior to your preferred date and time. Payment is required with at least fifteen business days in advance.
- In-home classes, extra fees may apply for out of city limits (Monument, Castle Rock, Littleton, etc.)
- For any cooking class at your venue/kitchen, please note that you will provide all the ingredients, cooking utensils and other sundries. We will bring all the Indian spices.
- Once you complete the registration and we receive payment in full, we will email your registration confirmation within 24 hours. Please notify us if you do not receive a confirmation within 24 hours.
- For gift cards – you have 6 months to claim your gift card after purchase. You may sign up for one of the classes or if you prefer an in-home class, you need a minimum of four people to have a private class at your home. Once you reserve and confirm a class or date, the gift card is considered claimed.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Sometimes plans change and one of us has to cancel. If we cancel a class due to low enrollment, bad weather or other extenuating circumstances, all participants will receive a credit towards another class.
- We require a minimum of 4 students to hold class.
- For cancellations please contact polkadotsandcurry@gmail.com or call us at 719-304-6111.
- All cooking classes cancellations require a 7 days notice from the time of scheduled class for full refund or class credit.
- If you cancel less than 7 days before your scheduled cooking class time, we will not issue any refund or credit. Refunds are not possible once the recipes have been mailed to you, no matter what. The only exception is that you are cancelling due to Covid 19. Even in that case, we reserve the right to keep 25% of the total fees paid if you cancel less than 2 days before the class.
- We cannot provide refunds, credits or class transfers for classes missed as a result of illness, job loss, scheduling conflicts, or events beyond our control.
- Participants are responsible to arrive at class on time. We do not provide refunds or credits when a participant fails to attend a reserved class.
- All above cancellation policies apply for gift cards as well. Once you confirmed a date, if you miss it for any reason, there’s no credit or refund and gift card will be voided.
- All gift cards have an expiration date of six months after purchase without exceptions.
Staying Safe and Healthy
- Customers are responsible for:
- Informing us if you have any medical and/or food allergies
- Avoiding any contact with ingredients and/or food allergens
- To prevent allergic reactions
- For cooking classes customers should be dressed comfortably but with safety in mind. Flip-flops and open-toed shoes are not recommended in the kitchen. Do not wear loose clothing that could get caught in machinery or equipment. Jewelry should not be worn. You should wear hair clips or bands for long hair
- Children under 16 years of age are not permitted to be present in adult classes.
- Family classes with children are available upon request.
Recipes for cooking classes
- The recipes will be emailed to participants for the food items prepared in the cooking class. This is just a small effort to save paper and our time as well.
- These recipes are and remain as intellectual property of Polka Dots And Curry.
- The Customer may not use our recipes for any commercial use or share them with the general public.
- Polka Dots And Curry reserves the right to take judicial action to prevent any unauthorized use of our recipes.
Confidentiality
Polka Dots And Curry preserves the confidentiality of any information you provide to us, and will not sell or give your information to any third party.
