Lentil Soup Meal Kit

Lentil soup makes a great weeknight dinner. Our lentil meal kits come with easy to follow instructions, with different ways to cook them – Instapot or the traditional Dutch oven – you decide how you prefer to cook them. Either ways they will be flavorful and pair well with all kinds of salads and easy on your tummy too. You can also add some veggies to make it more nourishing.

Serving Suggestions

For a complete Indian dining experience pair the lentil soup with basmati rice or tortillas with poppadum on the side. Or you can have your soup with  your favorite salad.

Here are some easy to follow instructions for our lentil soup kit.

1. Rinse lentils and soak them in water for 15 mins. Rinse them well till the water runs clear.

2. Dutch Oven or sauce pan: In a medium sauce pan, heat 1 Tbsp oil and the spices from the spice kit and cook them for 10 seconds. Add the pre washed lentils to the spices. Now add 3 cups of water and cook for 40 minutes on low medium heat. Instapot : Turn the saute mode on and heat 1 Tbsp oil; add the spices from the spice kit and cook them for 10 seconds. Now add the rinsed lentils to the spices. Turn on the pressure cook setting and add 2.5 cups water and cook for 5 minutes on high pressure. Let the pressure release naturally ( NPR ). Traditional pressure cooker – Saute the spices in the pressure cooker itself  and add lentils and water ; pressure cook for 10 minutes or one whistle, whichever is earlier. Let teh pressure release naturally.

When the lentils are fully cooked, adjust the salt and pepper seasonings. Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves and enjoy.
